Some Summer Spends from Crownbrush.

So July was an expensive month.
Oh my my my oh my my July yes you were.
I had some restocking to do for my kit which ended up costing.......well you can just use your imagination on that one.
I try to keep spares of all the important bits like foundations, powders etc so I never run out.
Nothing worse than a stressed out Makeup Artist trying to figure out where they can get a specific concealer in the middle of the night for the next morning.
Been there, shed those tears and stressed myself out to the point of sickness so that's why I don't do that anymore.
My motto has become "YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO PREPARED".
When you work Freelance you can get a call the night before for a big job the next morning and you just have to be ready to go at all times.
So anyways back to July.

I had to get some new clear cosmetic cases for my kit which I use to keep everything organised.
Organised to the point of being a perfect example of what OCD looks like.
Micro-organised, everything is marked and every product has a specific home so I know where everything is at all times.
I used to get clear cosmetics cases in Dunnes Stores but they stopped doing the ones I like so I've had to take my money else where.
The thing with clear cosmetic cases is you don't want to spend lot of them because they aren't going to last forever but they do need to be of a certain size and quality.
I finally found some on Crownbrush and decided to order a few to see what they were like.
Below is the large size and they were like €14 each.
Apologies for the rubbish picture by the way but I just couldn't find a way to take a nice shot of it.

So as I was ordering them from Crownbrush, I decided to pick up a few extra bits while I was there as I was paying for shipping anyways.
You can truly justify anything to yourself if you really want to!
So here's a few other things that I couldn't resist adding to my shopping basket.

I've recently made the decision to only buy synthetic makeup brushes.
I did some research into the way animal hair makeup brushes are made and what the animals are put through and I just think it's very unnecessary.
I genuinely prefer synthetic brushes because they are beautiful to blend with, tend to last longer than real brushes and are so much cheaper.
Win win win my friend.
So I got a few of these small brushes (above) and I think they were labelled as lip liner brushes.
A tiny brush is always handy to have as they can be used for everything from concealing to fixing eyeliner.
These were less than €2 each.

You can never have too many angled brushes and again they can be used for lips, brows, eyeliner etc.
Another €2 each.

I thought these guys looked interesting because they're like a mix between a concealer and a lip brush.
Again so many uses and costs about €2.
They are AMAZING and one of my new favourite brushes!!

Last but by no means least are these little gorgeous things.
I find brushes like these really useful for blending and smudging eyeliner so you can never have too many.
They could also be used for lips if you fancied and again cost me like €3 each.

So for just under €60 I got all that shizzle, not bad eh?
