Well a few days ago I picked up this pretty awesome lip pencil from MAC called "Shock Value" (€17.50).
I was instantly drawn to it's bright colour and it's very similar to "Corrupt" from Illamasqua which is one of my favourite pink lipsticks.
I love lip pencils but I sometimes find it hard to get my hands on one that I really love using.
Alot of them tend to be really dry and near impossible to use.
I have about 30 lip pencils in my kit and literally stick to using the same 3 or 4 because the rest of them aren't worth the hassle of trying to use.
Lip pencils are pretty vital if you are doing a strong lip and want to slightly change the natural lip shape to make it a little bigger, more symmetrical etc.
If you try to do this with just a lip brush, it can be a bit tricky and can take a really long time.
So in a lip pencil I'm looking for a creamy texture, a long lasting formula and most of all a really awesome colour.
All these factor led me to "Shock Value".
The texture is really creamy which makes creating an awesome lip that bit easier.
So yesterday I wanted to give it a test run which included:
Eating ice-cream!
Drinking lots of coffee!
And general Tom Foolery!

So overall I found the colour lasted really well.
It didn't start to look old as the day went on which was great and in general I was super impressed.
I would say that a small amount of the colour from the centre of my bottom lip did disappear after a few hours but considering what I put it through, I think that's pretty good going.
When I wear it again, I will apply it all over my lips, apply a small amount of translucent powder to set the first layer and then reapply some more colour to keep it really strong.
Overall I really love it and will be investing in some more of the Pro Longwear pencils asap!
(Looking at them online already, I might have a problem lol)
