You tell 'em Doge!
Well as the title says in a very modern way, here's what I've been listening to recently.
Pharrell Williams "Happy".
This is such an excellent song and instantly makes you want to walk with an extra spring in your step.
The video really makes it for me and the fact that my good friend Derrick Tuggle makes an appearance in it makes it a keeper for sure.
The Black Keys "Lonely Boy".
This song is nearly two years old but hasn't been forgotten thanks to it's video.
The band had shot a different one that they weren't happy with it so Derrick Tuggle stepped in to steal the show.
Apparently he was given an hour to learn the words and put a general idea together of what he was going to do.
I genuinely think he's magnificent and hope to see lots more of him in the future.
David Bowie "The Stars Are Out Tonight".
I have a real soft spot for Bowie and even at the tender age of 67, he still looks amazing.
Since I saw him in The Labyrinth as a child, I've been amazed by him.
He's a true original and has stayed true to himself throughout his whole career.
This song is a favourite of mine from his most recent album, "The Next Day".
The video is just so beautiful and I can't wait to see what he'll do next.

Pearl Jam "Mind your Manners".
I first started listening to Pearl Jam when I was 15 and 11 years on, they're still one of my favourite bands.
I have alot of respect for Eddie Vedder because of his charity work and the campaigning he does for cases of injustice etc.
He's also created some amazing soundtracks over the past few years for movies like "Into the Wild".

He's still such a humble guy even after all of their success and when you see him perform live, you can tell he loves it now as much as he did when they started back in 1993.
This song, Mind your Manners, from their latest album "Lightning Bolt" has an old school punk vibe to it and I think it's a song that will be remembered for sure.
Metallica "St.Anger".
I made a discovery a few months back that I really enjoy playing really loud music when I'm driving.
So loud that parts of the interior start to vibrate and if your phone rings you can't hear it.
Silence makes me really uncomfortable so I've found that the louder and heavier the music, the happier I am on my journey.

Metallica are one of my favourite bands and I've a huge amount of respect for them as they've come through so much over the years.
It scares me to think that St.Anger was released in 2003 and I still remember going out and buying it in HMV.
I was the first one in my school who had it and suddenly I became that bit cooler among the rocker kids.
Anyway the title track is such classic song and great for the gym.
And just went you thought Metallica couldn't get any cooler they film a music video in a prison.
