Well I wanted to tell you all about one of my favourite products that has set up residency in my makeup kit.
Introducing Lush's range of Sugar Lip Scrubs.
There is nothing worse than having dry/chapped lips.
They're sore, really irritating and you just can't seem to stop yourself from picking them.
It may sound like a First World problem but man is it a pain in the butt.
Before I found these scrubs I really didn't have a quick fix product for chapped lips in my kit.
Sure you can lather on some Elizabeth Arden 8HR Cream but it doesn't always totally fix the problem.
Then I was introduced to these little beauties that really are the sweetest (excuse the sickly sweet pun.....again).
They come in a range of flavours and yes I do mean flavours as they're 100% edible except for the jar and label.

Whenever I use these scrubs on my clients, once you tell them they can eat the sugar they instantly transform into a child who just found out they can finish all of the ice-cream and won't get into trouble.
So how do you use them?
Well for hygiene reasons I take a small amount out with a spatula and gently rub the sugar into the lip area.
Then you can either lick it off or get a cotton pad with some cleanser on it and remove it that way.
If a client has very dry lips I would use this scrub, apply lots of 8HR Cream and then start the makeup so you are giving the 8HR cream time to do it's thang.
These scrubs sell for around €7.50 and have a shelf life of about a year and a half.
My personal favourite is "Popcorn" and once you smell it, you will understand why.
Also keep an eye out at Christmas time for their seasonal scrub treats, they're truly delicious.
