A bit of history!
L'Occitane was founded in 1976 by Olivier Baussan and his goal was to celebrate the traditions and beauty of his homeland Provence, which is in the southeastern region of France.
The brand focuses on creating beautiful products for face, body and hair packed full of essential oils and natural ingredients.
For the last three weeks, I've been using two serums from their Immortelle range.
These products promised results within 7 days which made me make this face.
I was curious.
Could it actually be possible?
Visible anti-ageing results within days without surgery?
Was it just a good marketing ploy or would it actually work?
The experienced beauty junkie in me was skeptical as hell but here's how I got on.
I've been using both the Immortelle Divine, which is an eye serum (the baby bottle above), and the Immortelle Divine Extract, which is an anti-ageing facial serum.
First impressions?
- The bottles are super cute and remind me of vintage perfume bottles.
- Both products have a light, gel-like consistency and glide on to the skin like a dream.
Some serums tends to sit a bit oily on the skin but I noticed these ones soak in quickly which is what you want.
- Both serums focus on plumping the skin and helping to eliminate dark circles, fine lines etc.
As the title says, both products promise to show results within 7 days and you know what?
They were telling the truth!
I noticed the greatest results from the eye serum.
The bottle looks pretty shrimpy but you literally need half a pump for each use.L'Occitane recommend using two pumps but as it's a recession, a half pump has been working fine for me!
The serum has a really light scent which is from it's beautiful ingredients and it's not overpowering in the slightest.When applying, put a small amount on your ring finger and then dab in your under and across your eyelids.After 7 days, I noticed that under my eyes was looking brighter and any fine lines I had were definitely softened.I really love using this serum and will continue to use it.For a 15ml bottle, this bad boy will put you back around €56.I genuinely think if you're looking to invest in a good serum and have a bit of cash to spend, I would definitely give this one a try.
So this is the facial serum and it's just as potent as the eye one as well as smelling just as nice.I definitely noticed that my skin felt a lot more toned after using it and the results continue to impress me as the weeks pass.I put two or three pumps in the palm of my hand and massage it into my skin not forgetting the neck.This one come in a 30ml bottle and sells for around €86.Again a great product and would definitely recommend giving it a try.
