I'll be honest, I usually like strip lashes as much as I like going for a smear test.
Unpleasant at best.
The majority of strip lashes look really artificial, super heavy and can be a total nightmare to apply.
I always stick to my reliable individual lashes for my clients (and the two occasions a year I attempt to put them on my own peepers) because you can customise them to each eye shape and you can just put them where you need them.
With strip lashes, you don't have much of a choice what happens.
You just load up your glue, take a deep breath and hope for the best.
Until now.....
Did you know Eylure has been around since 1947?
It was founded by two brothers that made eyelashes for the film industry?
How awesome is that!
Nearly 70 years later, they've teamed up with their go-to lash gal Cheryl Cole for a new range and you know what?
They're pretty amazing!
I would've never imagined saying that but there it is.
"Boasting an ultra lightweight feel these stunning Cheryl false eyelashes are designed to enhance the natural beauty of your eyes".
Couldn't agree more.
Each set is light, natural (enough) and soft with just enough definition to up your glam level to 11.
The "Girls Night" one is a natural (enough) set that gives you extra emphasis on the outer corners of your eyes where the lashes are darker and slightly longer.
They flutter outwards to give you a slight cat eye look without looking like a bad drag impersonator.
Perfect.
These ones are my favourite and they're cutely named "First Date".
I love these types of strip lashes because they're soft, not super fake looking and aren't like 10inches long.
Trust me, lashes like that do exist and they're pretty horrific.
I prefer lashes that focus on adding some subtle volume instead of adding ridiculous length.
You know that "about to take flight" look?
It's not a great one sure it's not!
Each set is reusable, comes with an adhesive and sells for €7.49 each.
They're available from most independent pharmacies and are definitely worth a try.
*Scans ahead in my diary for an excuse to wear them*
