Have you ever watched a movie that made you laugh your ass off whilst breaking your heart at the same time?
No?
Me neither up until recently.
50/50 is a 2011 movie starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Adam, Seth Rogen as Kyle and Anjelica Huston as Diane aka Adam's Mom.
Joseph plays a 20-something year old guy who has a beautiful girlfriend, played by the amazing Bryce Dallas Howard, and is working for a Seattle radio station.
His better half/best friend is Seth Rogen who basically plays himself which involves smoking pot, cracking one liners all over town and having the most awesome face ever......EVER!
OK I might have a thing for his face and I think he's amazing!
Adam gets diagnosed with a rare form of spinal cancer (even though he doesn't smoke, drink and he recycles) and suddenly everything falls apart.
At his darkest moment he finds solace in a retired greyhound called Skelator and his Therapist who's still only in training.
I won't give too much away but I absolutely loved this film and would happily watch it again.
Seth Rogen adds a much needed element of humour to balance off some of the movie's harshest moments and you just gotta love that guy!
Also Anjelica Huston is just the best.......FACT!
