Time to talk about something I have been thinking alot about recently : Makeup trends/trends in general.
To me trends are a pretty strange thing and even from an early age, I have never understood them.
"So let me get this straight, you guys tell us what we have to wear?"
No thanks buddy, not into it.
Hey here's a crazy idea, why not have style instead of being "trendy"?
Why not be original instead of following the herd?
Is "being on trend" really a good thing?
For me, I like people to be original and to express themselves in how they look.
I think everyone should wear what makes them feel good and most importantly, never care about what others think.
"There is nothing more beautiful than someone who stands out in a crowd."
I believe the same thing when it comes to makeup.
I think the most "on-trend" look for you should be the one that you like and that makes you feel amazing.
Wear whatever lipstick you like regardless of when they are referred to as being "on trend" or "OMG that is so last season".
I really hope no-one actually talks like that in real life.
Being "on-trend" is so limiting and I just don't understand the appeal.
With makeup, I believe in having some good quality products that will get you through everything from Winter to Summer.
I don't know about you guys but I definitely couldn't afford to update my whole makeup bag each season just to stay "on-trend".
Find some good quality eyeshadows that you know really suit you, have a few lip colours that you can play around with and most importantly, have some great skincare and a foundation that suits your skin.
"Update your look whenever you want but do it on your own terms".
