Kinvara Skincare : Keeping it in the country.

Hi guys,

Happy Sunday to you all.
I hope you had a great weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead.

Well today I am chatting about an Irish skincare brand called Kinvara that I only discovered recently.

A few things to know (and love) about Kinvara before I get on to their products:

  • They're an Irish brand and all of their products are made here in Ireland.
  • They use local ingredients.
  • Their products "contain no parabens, SLS, petrochemicals, synthetic fragrances or colours".
  • They use ethical packaging on all of their products.

I'm really impressed with the brands morals and I hope more cosmetics/skincare companies will follow in their footsteps.
OK now to their products.

Absolute Cleansing Oil  : 100ml : €20.00.

Observations?

I absolutely love this cleansing oil and it's such an effective product.
It works as a makeup remover as well as an overall cleanser.
You just put 2-3 pumps of the product in your hands and massage it onto damp skin.
Using a wet face cloth or muslin cloth, just wash the oil off and you're all done.

I couldn't believe how quickly it made my 2 layers of heavy duty mascara disappear.
It's definitely one of the best cleansing oils I have ever tried and I was blown away by it.
Some of its beautiful ingredients include Sunflower and Sesame oil, Lemon, Orange and Rosemary.

I would give it a 9/10 purely because I wish it came in a larger bottle but hey, that is a pretty good complaint.

Rosehip Face Serum : 30ml : €28.

This product is an intensive treatment for dry or generally unhappy skin and the good thing is that it can be used daily.
It comes with a pump and you are recommended to use "1-2 pumps on clean skin".
The label also says to "Shake the bottle to wake the serum before applying".
I know I'm a big kid but I just thought that that was a really cute statement.
Poor serum being rudely awoken like that.

I have really enjoyed using this serum and it feels great on your skin.
It has a gorgeous citrus-y scent which is really refreshing and it helps to give you a little boost in the morning.
I have been applying this product before my moisturiser to give my skin an extra bit of love.
If you have had a really hard day, apply a few pumps of this serum to your face and your skin will temporarily forgive you for all that you put it through.
Great product.

Active Rosehip Day Cream : 60ml : €24.

This day cream is made to "protect, plump and prime".
We like all of those words now don't we?
This cream goes on great after applying the above serum.
It absorbs into your pores really quickly and it has a "matte finish" which is great for during the day when we definitely don't need any extra shine.
I like to wear quite a rich moisturiser in the evening and a lighter one during the day.
This one suited me perfectly for daytime but in the evenings, it just wasn't enough for my skin.
My skin is rather demanding you see!

Overall, I think Kinvara are a fantastic brand with a great skincare range and it's a true pleasure to see an Irish brand who have great morals as well as great products.
They get my vote for sure.

You can check out Kinvaras products on the link below and their products are also available in Nourish health stores and in Evergreen in Galway.
