Hi guys,
Well I don't know what the weather is like where you are but in Dublin, it's currently around zero degrees as well as snowing and raining at the same time.
Awesome.
I didn't know that was possible but with Irish weather, anything is possible unfortunately.
So with that in mind, I wanted to chat about one of my current obsessions.
To be honest, I never thought I would be the type of person to be into things like these but I am.
I can't help it and I will no longer deny it.
I'll just come right out and say it.
I'm in love with Yankee Candles.
Totally and utterly head over heels for these babies and how I survived before them, I will never know.
I'm always late to catch on to things like these and I only bought my first Yankee candle back in November.
Now I totally get the hype.
As I'm self-employed, I spend alot of time working away on my computer doing my accounts (trying to anyway) and writing blogs etc.
I randomly lit a scented candle one evening while I was working away and I found it made a huge difference.
It makes you feel super relaxed, rather happy and generally quite content.
So I checked out the Yankee Candle store in St.Stephens Green shopping centre in Dublin and spent about 45minutes smelling all of the different ones to find my favourite.
I couldn't believe how many different ones there were.
Scented candles are up there with perfume in terms of it being such a personal preference.
I found that I didn't like the majority of the scents because alot of them smelled super strong and the rest of them I just wasn't mad about.
But then I found them.
Or they found me I'm not sure.
Anyway without further ado, here are my top three.
No.1: Midsummer's Night .
This scent is so beautiful and perfect for the evening.
It's described as"an intoxicating and masculine blend of musk, patchouli, sage and mahogany cologne".
Basically it smells like a really sexy cologne and it has alot of depth.
It isn't overpowering and it makes a great background scent.
10/10 for me.
No.2: Christmas Cookie.
Christmas Cookie is such an awesome scent and it's a really light but sweet.
It's described as a "buttery Rich, vanilla scented, holiday sugar cookies" smell.
Even though it's a seasonal candle, I would burn this bad boy any time of year.
Such a beaut.
No.3: Spiced Orange.
I became a bit addicted to this one and burned it constantly for like two weeks.
It's a bright citrus scent with a bit of spice thrown in.
It's described as a "bright, cheery blend of sunny citrus and snappy ginger is the perfect winter warmer".
It's such a beautiful scent to have fill a room and I absolutely love it!
Yankee Candles scents come in many forms:
-Different sized candles in glass jars.
-Wax tartlets which can be burned in oil burners.
-Freshener sprays.
-Car fresheners etc.
I would recommend have a good sniff around their store to find the scents that appeal to you.
You can get Yankee Candle products in any of their stores as well as online.
If you are based in Ireland, you should check out the website below.
They sell Yankee products cheaper than in the stores and they deliver really quickly.
I would definitely recommend them.
