Yves Saint Laurent launched his very popular luxury cosmetic brand back in 1978 and in recent years was sold to L'Oreal
I tend to find that each brand has a handful of great stand-out products and than others that I would deem very forgettable indeed.
So with that in mind below are some of my favourites from Yves Saint Laurent.
Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation.
There have been very few foundations in the history of my makeup love affair that I instantly feel in love with.
Before I tried Le Teint Touche Eclat, the only foundations I really got excited about were MAC Face and Body and Lancome Teint Miracle.
Now I'm in love with this little beaut.
It has a light to medium coverage depending on how much you apply and it gives your skin a beautiful healthy glow.
I've been using it constantly since it was released and I get a bit panicky when I see that the bottle's coming to an end.
First world problems at their very best I know.
It's available in 3 different tones which to be honest makes it a bit confusing to find your perfect shade.
Just when you thought MAC were bad for having two tones of foundation.
But I suppose giving out about having too many colours to choose from is definitely a good complaint.

It sells for €36, €25 in the duty free, and I definitely recommend giving it a try.
Touche Eclat Pen.
I'd go so far as to call this an iconic product due to the fact that I've only ever met a small handful of Makeup Artist who don't use it in their kit.
I've heard that it plays a big part in the Makeup Department for Fashion Week and I'm not surprised.

To set the record straight Touche Eclat is a highlighter not a concealer.
I've talked to a lot of people who tried to use it as a concealer but found it highly inadequate and this is the reason why.
It would be like using a body lotion as a shampoo.
Not great.
Not great.
I'd recommend using a liquid concealer and then apply this in the areas that you want to lighten/enhance like the inner corner of your eyes etc.
It's a magnificent product that I always keep spares of just in case I run out.
Is it the secret to eternal youth?
Pretty close I think.
Palette Couture.
If you'd told me a few years back that I'd be converted to using bronzer on myself every day I'd probably have thought you were crazier than a bag of hammers and wouldn't want to be your friend anymore.
But the day came and I'm now a convert, hallelujah.
I've just found that the shade and tone of this bronzer is perfect for fair skin and doesn't make you look completely ridiculous which I can appreciate.
It's supposed to be a mix of a highlighter and a bronzer but I personally wouldn't agree with the highlighter part.
There are a mix of light and dark tones in the palette but not light enough to be considered a highlight.

It's a warm shade without being orangey and it's just a beautiful product to use.
It sells for around €45 but will last you for a few years once you don't drop it which I'm kind of prone to doing.
Rouge Pur Couture.
This product is like a beautiful little alien from some planet no one has ever heard of.
It's a hybrid between a lipstick, a lip stain and a lip gloss and is available in some really great colours.
The colour really packs a punch and it has a glossy finish without being sticky which is magnificent.
I put it through my personal "burrito" eating test and it passed with flying colours.

Overall it's just a really great product and worth the €28 price tag.
