Yesterday I went along to a MAC Pro Masterclass taught by makeup artist extraordinaire Karin Darnell.
MAC hold these classes about twice a year in Brown Thomas Dublin.
The classes cost €50 but this amount is then redeemable against MAC product so it's basically a free class with some shopping afterwards.
Couldn't ask for too much more now could we.
Karin is a Mum of two, a dedicated partner and a brilliantly creative lady.
It's very rare that I meet another Makeup Artist that loves nothing more than to break all the rules as much as I do but man, Karin did just that.
She is most known for her work with Rihanna, Jessie J and Nicole Scherzinger to name but a few.
Karin demonstrated a range of different looks and also some great quick-fix ways to change one existing look into a completely different one if you're under time pressure.
For me what really stood out was her passion for what she does and how she gets so engrossed in her art that what's going on outside that hub doesn't matter.
She really encouraged everyone not to be afraid to try something you've never seen done before and that taking a risk can lead you to creating your best work yet.
I left feeling inspired, happy and with a slightly heavier handbag as a few products had to purchased afterwards.
Sure would be rude not to.
