**Please note this post has nothing to do with the TV show Love/Hate**
A belated Happy Easter to you all.
As I write this, I am gorging on Ferrero Rocher that I was planning to keep for a few days but hey, too late now.
I wanted to share one of my favourite items of clothing with you beauties : Blazers.
The more ridiculous looking the better.
Anything with animal print, tons of sequins, bells and whistles etc, I want it!
I like anything that resembles something Joan Collins would wear in the Dynasty era.
What a legend!
So I'm sure you can guess that I have quite a few of these little blazing beauties in my wardrobe that I have picked up along my travels.
Quite a few of them have come from The Golly Gosh Boutique in Temple Bar which is owned by a good friend of mine.
I also have found quite a few nice ones in Zara which include this tiger print one below.
Love is not a strong enough word!
I have found a pretty annoying problem with some of these blazers though.
They sometimes have quite a loose inner lining which makes the fabric quite tight around your arms.
You can still wear them but they are a bit uncomfortable and tend to make you feel quite warm.
Solution?
My advice is to get that lining out of there!
1: Find yourself a fabric scissors and a needle/thread.
2: Turn the blazer inside out.
3: Cut along the inner cuff and around the inner arm. You can then just pull the lining out.
4: You might need to put a few stitches around the cuff if needed.
5: Marvel at your work, wear and enjoy.
Be careful where you cut as all blazers will be put together differently.
Remember you only want to cut the lining, not the actual fabric.
This has made such a difference to the fit of some my blazers and I wish I'd done it sooner.
I don't know why some brands make the on their clothing linings so loose but anyways, problem solved.
This has worked wonders for me and hopefully it might help you too.
Better than just leaving your beautiful blazers lying dormant in your wardrobe.....
