Hope everyone is having a great week so far.
Spring is on its way which is amazing!
2013 : The Year of the Serum says it all.
I think it's amazing how advanced skincare products have become.
If you go back a few decades, skincare products were rather basic.
Women used products like Ponds Cold Cream but so much has changed since then.
As technology and science becomes more advanced, so do the products you put on your face.
In saying all that, alot of products promise results but just don't deliver.
It's happened to us all.
You decide to splurge on a product that costs the same amount as a fancy meal out for two.
You bring it home bursting with excitement and slowly remove all of the packaging in a slightly striptease-ish manner.
You try it out and guess what?
It's a load of sh**te.
So todays post is all about the products that are worth forking out the big bucks for.
Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum.
This beautiful little bottle contains the secret to combatting dry and sensitive skin.
This serum gives 24HR hydration as well as soothing irritated skin.
It's super hydrating without being oily and it soaks into the skin pretty much instantly.
It has a really gorgeous light scent which I love and it's really refreshing.
Just put two pumps of this serum into your hands, rub them together and apply to your face and neck.
It sells for around €22 and is available on counter as well as in pharmacies.
Definitely worth a try.
Clarins Double Serum.
For such a small bottle, there is a huge amount of science in this serum.
I'm not going to get too far into the scientific part because to be honest, it makes my mind boggle.
What I will tell you is how awesome I think it is in my own words.
Clarins recommend to start using this serum from age 25 to help combat the signs of ageing.
The serum has a really nice scent which to down to its natural ingredients.
Just put two pumps of the serum in your hands, rub them together and then apply it to your face and neck in a patting motion.
I really enjoyed using this product and I genuinely noticed a difference in my skin after just a few days of using it.
My skin felt healthy and plump.
This serum sells for just under €70 which I know is quite steep but you would probably only go through 2-4 bottles a year which isn't so bad.
Another great product from Clarins that I just can't fault.
Nuxe Nuxellence Jeunesse.
For this review, I will hand you over to guest blogger, "Momma MUA" ,who has been using this product for the last few weeks.
Her observations are below.
- This product has a great consistency and it absorbs into the skin really quickly.
- It has a good pump action top with a twist up top for closing and locking shut.
- It has a pleasant smell which is really mild and not overpowering.
- Skin definitely looked smoother after using it for a few weeks.
- Moisturiser went on really easily over the serum.
- Loves it!
Overall, Momma MUA really loved this product and would definitely buy it again.
She would also really like to try more NUXE products which is great.
