My top picks from Lush.

Lush are one of my favourite brands for lots of reasons :

  • They are ethical in the way the source their ingredients.
They work with Fair Trade growers all around the world to source the best quality ingredients possible in the most ethical way.

  • They don't test on animals and they are actively fighting animal testing.
    Gotta love that alone!

  • They are 100% Vegetarian and some of their products are also Vegan.
  •  Their products are all handmade and are all marked with a sticker of a cartoon portrait of the creator of your product.
    It's a really cute touch.
  • Lush are always getting involved in important campaigns that span human rights, animal rights and ethical environment issues.

So here are some of my favourite Lush products:

Love Lettuce.

Lush do many things really well and one of those things are definitely their fresh face masks.
One of my favourites is their Love Lettuce mask which promises to brighten your complexion, soothe your skin and leaves your skin moisturised and feeling great.
Some of the ingredients include honey, ground almond shells and lavender oil.
The mask has a funny consistency because of the ground up almond shells so when you apply it, it does feel a bit odd but it's totally worth it.
I absolutely love it
The only bad thing about it?
Well this has nothing to do with the actual product but as you need to store it in the fridge, I tend to forget about it and then I find it a few weeks later and it's all fluffy and ready for the bin.

 Ocean Salt.

Now this is what I call an exfoliator and it's hands down the best one I've ever tried.
Some of the key ingredients include sea salt, grapefruit, lime, avocado butter, coconut oil and seaweed.
I mainly use this on my face but it works great on arms or anywhere else that needs some scrubbage.
I use it about once a week and you can literally see the results instantly.
So for all you blocked pores, Ocean Salt is coming for you so your time is up!

 Skin's Shangri La.

Out of all of the moisturisers I have tried over the last ten years, alot of which I have forgotten about completely because they were that terrible, this is one of the only ones that I'm still obsessed with.
This moisturiser is packed full of the good stuff : almond oil, jojoba oil, seaweed, aloe vera gel and fair trade vanilla to name a few.
This cream is completely different to every other cream I've ever tried and it glides on the skin like it's nothing.
It contains five nourishing oils, cocoa butter and a shot of Queen of Hungary water which is rosemary, an anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, steeped in vodka.
Sounds crazy but it's amazing.
The price point is a little bit higher at around €30 but I genuinely feel that it's worth every penny.
I've tried cream that cost up to €100 that aren't as good as this one.
Love it!

 Sugar Scrub.

Aw the Lush Sugar Scrubs are one of their most amazing creations.
Just think about it : a way to help your dry, chapped lips out that is made of flavoured sugar that you can EAT!
Unreal!
All you have to do is put a bit on your fingers, rub it into your ailing lips and then either wipe it off with a cotton pad or just lick it off!
The main ingredients are of course well sugar, salt, jojoba oil and coconut oil.
All the good stuff!
I carry about four of them around in my kit, not out of necessity but more because it's fun to see what flavours my clients might be in the mood for.
At about €8, these pots are a total steal!

No Drought.

Dry shampoo is one of the most loyal products you will ever come across.
If you're having a bad hair day or need a quick lift, dry shampoo is your go to pal.
Dry shampoo contain oil-absorbing powder with grapefruit and lime to refresh your hair without the need for H20.
All you have to do is shake some No Drought over your barnet, rub it in and you're all good to go.
The only bad thing about this product is it can be a bit messy but I recommend using it while your still in your pj's so you don't mess up your clothes.
A 50g bottle of this stuff will only put you back around €8 and I've been using the same bottle for over a year now and it's still half full.
Winning!

So they're a few of my favourites, what are yours?
